Mini paintings series - Tropical leaves
What will be my inspiration for painting today? What theme should I choose when creating a new painting? What are those images that inspire me? Questions that always come to mind and that you would like to solve as quickly as possible, and that are so important because they are the basis of creating your own style as an artist and designer, and also your creative moodboard.
Tropical nature is my main inspiration in my art and design, I love leaves and their shapes as well as their colors.
To start I need to create a moodboard, and so have some reference images, I look for references of tropical plants, specific leaves and I select the photos that I like the most and that inspire me, it is important for me to create this base because this way I can know how to start, what works for me and what doesn't, then I make some sketches and also look at possibilities of a color palette depending on what I have.

A place where I always find a lot of inspiration is Pinterest, it is a very good application and I would always recommend it for everything in general.
This image shows a final moodboard, with reference photos, a palette of colours used and the fully painted paintings.
This mini collection was designed with 6 mini canvases, each measuring 15×15 cm, each with the design of a tropical leaf from the monstera plant, a color palette with lots of color and contrast was used, and each one being unique and 100% original works of art, perfect for decorating your favorite spaces.
