Being a graphic designer, a large part of my work is creating digital pieces. I really like illustration, and it has been a fundamental part of my work as a designer. I like to start with an image that inspires me and transform it into vector art or digital illustration, which is the same thing, playing with the variety of colors that I can choose and create from it, and thus begin to give it shape vector by vector or line by line and design – create a new piece of art not using a brush but rather a digital tool like Adobe Illustrator.
Digital art or digital illustration, for me it is the same, in my brand lagallery it is an important piece, and I really like creating illustrations with themes related to nature, especially tropical plants and flowers, most of the designs are of large striking leaves, also of exotic flowers with a lot of color, every time I look for inspiration and I see an image that has characteristics like that, I save it and start creating a new illustration in Illustrator with its respective colors and shapes and thus I arrive at a final digital art to convert it into a poster or print for sale.

Inspiration plays a very important role in the design of each digital art or illustration for me. In this example we see how an image of the leaves of a calathea plant inspired me to create the final illustration that we see next to it.
The main tool that I always use to find inspiration and creative unblocking is Pinterest, it is a very important and key app in the entire digital art process, and I also use others as support, when I see an image that catches my attention and is in line with the theme to be illustrated, I save it and start designing in Illustrator.
